CNET explored whether Everblog's smart calendars genuinely simplify everyday routines—or simply add another screen to the home.
The review looked at two different approaches to household organization: the wall-mounted 21.5-inch HomeCal™ and the magnetic 13.4-inch FridgeCal™ .
What CNET Found in Everyday Testing
HomeCal™ makes family routines visible. CNET's Corin Cesaric tested the larger touchscreen, shared calendars, and customizable chores. She particularly enjoyed the star-based rewards feature and saw how it could help motivate children. The review also noted that HomeCal needs a constant power connection and enough space for secure mounting.
FridgeCal™ brings food planning to the refrigerator. CNET's Tyler Lacoma tried the magnetic display and its AI-powered food inventory. The software identified numerous labeled ingredients from refrigerator photos, offering a useful starting point for tracking groceries and planning meals.
AI is helpful, but still needs a human check. The FridgeCal test also found that crowded shelves and unlabeled foods could lead to missed or incorrect entries. CNET observed that keeping inventory current takes an ongoing habit, even when the app and calendar tools reduce some of the manual work.
Two Calendars, Different Family Needs
CNET's review highlights two approaches to family organization: the larger HomeCal™ offers a prominent display for shared schedules and daily routines, while the compact FridgeCal™ brings planning and food management directly to the refrigerator.
