How Jessica Keeps the Family Grocery List in One Place

“I Just Want to Know What We Need—Without Buying It Twice.”

Jessica L.
The Grocery Shopper · Chicago, Illinois

Q: What's grocery shopping usually like for you?

Jessica: “I'm usually the one doing the grocery shopping for the family, so I need to know what everyone needs before I go.

The problem is, ‘What do we need?’ can turn into a surprisingly complicated question.”

Q: What made it complicated?

Jessica: “Everyone had their own way of telling me what they needed. Someone would text me. Someone would mention something while I was making dinner. Someone else might stop at the store on the way home.

And then I'd be standing in the supermarket trying to remember what had already been bought.”

Q: Did you ever end up buying something twice?

Jessica: “Absolutely. More often than I'd like to admit.

I'd be looking at something in the aisle thinking, ‘Do we actually need this?’ And sometimes I'd call home just to check.

Then I'd come home and find out someone had already bought it.”

Q: What did you want instead?

Jessica: “I just wanted one list that everyone could use. If someone needs something, add it. If someone buys it, it's no longer something I need to worry about.

I didn't want to manage everyone's lists. I just wanted us to have one.”

Q: How does Everblog help with that?

Jessica: “Our shopping list is in the Everblog app, so I can see it wherever I am.

If someone adds something while I'm at the supermarket, I can see it. And if something has already been bought, I know before I put another one in my cart.”

Q: What's your favorite part?

Jessica: “Probably not having to call home from the middle of the supermarket.

One shared list means fewer questions, fewer duplicate purchases, and a much less stressful grocery run.”
