Why Visible Reminders Work Better for Drew

“If It's Not in Front of Me, I Might Forget It.”

Q: How do you usually keep track of things you need to remember?

Drew: “My phone is full of reminders.

Which sounds like a good system until you realize I also have to remember to actually look at them.”

Q: What happens when you put something on your phone?

Drew: “I'll add it to my calendar and think, ‘Great, I'll check that later.’

Then I get distracted, move on to something else, and completely forget about it.

It's not that I don't want to remember. My brain just moves on.”

Q: Have you tried other reminder apps or systems?

Drew: “I've tried a lot of them. But most of them have the same problem: the reminder is there, but I still have to remember to open the app and look for it.”

Q: So what works differently with Everblog?

Drew: “It's visible.

I don't have to remember to check it because I see it when I'm in the kitchen. I might walk in to grab something and suddenly notice that I have an appointment that afternoon or something I need to take care of that day.”

Q: Does that make a difference for you?

Drew: “A huge one.

When something is right in front of me, I don't have to keep using mental energy to remember that I need to remember it.”

Q: If you had to describe what Everblog does for you in one sentence?

Drew: “I don't need another thing to remember.

I just need the important things somewhere I can actually see them.”
